Partnership with Minnesota Deaf Muslim Community

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

The Minnesota Deaf Muslim Community is a valuable community organization that exists in our great State of Minnesota.

When the protest and riots took place, Deaf Equity reached out to organizations to ask them how we can step up and support them. MDMC requested that we help by giving out food to those needing and directly dislocated due to the riots. Deaf Equity appreciated the very authentic conversations, difficult conversations that were had so that we could learn more about our responsibility as another community organization supporting MDMC.

We know that is not enough. We know that there is more to do. We are here. We are listening. We are showing up and doing our part to unpack, make changes and be part of the movement to see that change continues to happen.

We encourage you to visit their website and learn more about their work. Support their work by volunteering or donate money to support their programs.

Information about MDMC and you can support their organization by donating money.

MDMC is committed to greater access for the deaf and hard of hearing community as well as empowering underserved members of the deaf community.
